It's because I think Amazon.com can perform a great service for those of you that visit my website.  I've written the reviews; and if you happen to want to buy the book, you can at Amazon.com's fully secure website.  Just use your credit card!

Actually what will happen, if you click on one of the links I've made to Amazon.com, is that you will be taken to the Amazon.com site so that you can see their (usually) discounted price for that particular book, other reviews, and other info.  If you want to buy the book, just put it in your shopping cart.  You can always remove it later.  You'll have to hit your browser's "BACK" button to come back to read more reviews.  The books will stay in your shopping cart while you read more reviews.  Then when you're done reading reviews, you can go back to Amazon by clicking on one of the links at this site.  Then click on the "check out" button (or you can edit or empty your shopping cart if you've changed your mind about buying books).  It's a totally secure server, and they even give you the option of calling in your credit card number if you feel more comfortable with that.  My most recent Amazon order was placed on a Friday and arrived on the next Monday!  I love that kind of service, but I can't believe that all orders are that fast.

Anyway, regardless of whether you buy books or not, I hope the reviews are helpful.  Not all the reviews lead to Amazon.com, but I'll put a link or phone number in the review for those items that aren't carried by Amazon.com so that you can purchase them some place else if it's something you would like to purchase.
